Zara Holland’s has been released from a Barbados medical facility as he faces prosecution for breaking the island’s Covid rules.  

Elliott Love has been held at the Paragon Isolation Centre since his arrest on December 29.

He was released today – just hours after the former Miss England was fined, spared jail and jetted out of the country leaving him to face justice alone.

The 30-year-old was questioned by police yesterday the first time about his antics with girlfriend Zara as he could not be interviewed while he was suffering from the virus.

The 25-year-old sat alone before boarding a Virgin Atlantic flight to Manchester at the Grantley Adams International Airport, where she and Love, 30, (above, pictured earlier) had been arrested last month trying to flee after he tested positive for the deadly disease

The pair were arrested trying to flee Barbados on the 29th December, just two days after their arrival for a New Year holiday, when he tested positive for the potentially fatal disease.

 

Miss Holland escaped jail but was fined £4,417 after she pleaded guilty to breaching Covid-19 quarantine in court on Wednesday. She fled back to Britain hours later.

Mr Love, who faces the same charge, is expected to receive a harsher sentence due to the more serious nature of his law-breaking – endangering the lives of citizens of Barbados and tourists alike by breaching quarantine and trying to board a passenger jet.

The young couple remained in constant contact throughout their ordeal, speaking on the phone and exchange messages.

Mr Love was spotted at Hastings Police Station wearing stripy shorts, a white shirt, a cap and a protective face mask. 

‘Zara and Elliott have been able to stay in touch with each other throughout this nightmare,’ a family friend told MailOnline.
